Calder & Byrne

Guys I have slightly switched up my posting schedule this week, because I am so excited to share with you today the launch of a new online shop called Calder & Byrne created by the wonderful Siobhan from Bless the Weather. I am so so honoured that she is stocking some of my prints and greetings cards, and I am looking forward to working with Siobhan and Calder & Byrne more in the future. Siobhan has such great taste and so this shop is just packed full of things that I want to buy. That was pretty much Siobhan's inspiration for the shop - to create a place where you can go and buy a whole variety of items that would be great for gifts and also to treat yourself, but they are all in one place so you can kind of do a one stop shop order! I know already that this is the place I am going to be going for birthday presents and also maybe little treats for me :)

The other main goal of the shop is to support local and UK based artists, and that is kind of how Siobhan and I connected, we actually live fairly near each other! She can pretty much just come round and pick up stock when ever she wants. I love that community feel and am just so excited to support her vision for this. So seriously, support the small businesses and the one man band makers in the UK and go spend some of your pennies in Calder & Byrne! Two of the prints they are selling of mine are totally exclusive to C&B so that is the only place you will be able to find them!

Valentines Printables (Free)

I am not really big into Valentines day but I am into letting people know how much I love them whatever time of year it is, so I wanted to do a free printable that you could use for V-day but also at any other time. If you click HERE then you can download the 3 hand inked quotes that you can see in the images above and below. They are set up A4 size so all you need to do is download them and press print.

Black type on white always looks good, but you could always print them onto coloured paper and card. They work washi taped to the wall or even framed and given as a gift!

I also like the idea of hiding them around the house in places that the person you love will find them. Little messages of love to find throughout the day.

I hope you enjoy using them and giving them. If you take any pictures of them in situ on twitter or instagram please tag me! I would love to see them.

*please note these prints are copyright © Liz Mosley, 2015, and are only for personal use and must not be used for re-sale or any financial gain*

Christmas Independent shopping guide

I think christmas preparation is starting to really pick up now. I like to get started early so that I don't leave everything to the last minute. With a growing family there are more and more people to think about. This year I am trying to spend some time thinking about the gifts I get and where I get them from. For some people I am going to down the hand made route but for others I am trying hard to support independent shops. Since setting up my etsy shop earlier in the year I have just realised how lovely it is to support independent makers and designers and there are so many beautiful online shops out there that I have discovered this year.

So I thought to help you guys out if you are looking for ideas I would put together a post of some of my favourite shops. Some of these I have bought from myself - some of them I am planning to buy from - and some are on my own christmas wish list! All of these are UK based because I wanted to support shopping local as well.

Have a look through at all the talent out there and hopefully this will help kick start your christmas shopping. If you click on the images below it will take you straight to the shops

So there you go. This is not an exhaustive list but I hope you enjoy exploring these shops and finding new things, and hopefully more folks will make an effort and shop independent this Christmas! It really makes a difference.

(Also if you are lucky there may be some black friday deals today so get in there quick!)

New Greetings Cards

When I set up my etsy shop a month or so ago my plan was that it would predominantly be a print shop, but I wanted to have a bit of variety so I put some greetings cards and envelopes in there too. It's funny how things go but so far the greetings cards seem to have been more popular. So I have been focusing on those over the last few weeks and coming up with new designs.

I've posted most of the new cards up in the shop now (there are a couple more to come). All of the cards are folded and printed on a lovely 270gsm acid free snow white stock. They are all 210 x 148 mm in size. Each card comes with a coloured envelope, all of which are made from the highest quality coloured paper. They are 135gsm, 229 x 162 mm in size and have a gummed flap.

Also today I am putting together an order for the Turpentine in Brixton. It is seriously one of my favourite shops and so I am so excited that they will be stocking my cards - If you haven't been there you should check it out. It is full of a hand picked mix of design led indie craft, art prints and giftware as well as hosting a wide range of evening and weekend art workshops and courses. It's such a good place for getting unique gifts or to just treat yourself!

I have a wholesale catalogue now so if you are a little independent shop/florist and you think my cards would work in your shop please get in touch - I would love to hear from you!

Happy Monday - Hope you all have a great week!

etsy birthday wishlist

As if getting married wasn't exciting enough I have a birthday coming up (ok blatantly its no where near as exciting as getting married...and this year it will be low key - but still!) and since being back from honeymoon and spending a little bit more (A LOT MORE) time on the internet I have seen quite a few things that I am loving on etsy. Also somethings that I have posted here before that I still love. Anyway I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do a little round up/birthday wishlist so as to hint to NM in a very unsubtle way some things I would like. (I am still not even sure he reads this blog though! haha) Man etsy is awesome. Hope you enjoy these things. Go buy them for someone you love!

Since choosing a very thin delicate gold wedding band I am into thin gold jewellery. This ring is cute. It is from Diament Jewelry

This last one is from Chloe's shop. I love it and I totally need to think less and live more! I want to have a wall in my house full of beautiful prints by Chloe.
