Valentines Printables (Free)

I am not really big into Valentines day but I am into letting people know how much I love them whatever time of year it is, so I wanted to do a free printable that you could use for V-day but also at any other time. If you click HERE then you can download the 3 hand inked quotes that you can see in the images above and below. They are set up A4 size so all you need to do is download them and press print.

Black type on white always looks good, but you could always print them onto coloured paper and card. They work washi taped to the wall or even framed and given as a gift!

I also like the idea of hiding them around the house in places that the person you love will find them. Little messages of love to find throughout the day.

I hope you enjoy using them and giving them. If you take any pictures of them in situ on twitter or instagram please tag me! I would love to see them.

*please note these prints are copyright © Liz Mosley, 2015, and are only for personal use and must not be used for re-sale or any financial gain*

Little Loves // 04

This week has been a bit busier than I would like. Things at work are ramping up, I am finishing a course and need to do a self counselling essay which is pretty intense. The things I have on are lovely but after a slower start to the year I am craving that slower pace again. I am still trying to keep noticing the little things around me that are lovely even when things get a bit hectic. Here are this weeks little loves.... 1. I finally got round to making this pom pom garland. You can't see it very well in this photo but I used a light yellow wool for the bits in between and then a bright yellow of the actual pom pom's. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt, would like to try some other colours though.

2. I read this book by Austin Kleon at the beginning of the week. It really inspired me and got me excited...and now I need to be better at sharing what I am working on. My plan for this blog has always been to show more work but it has not materialised yet. Watch this space. (and read this book because it is amazing)

3. Got to have a quick brunch with this beauty, and here she is wearing the snood I knitted her. My knitting skills are basic but I am in love with making these big chunky knit snoods. She requested a green and it looks so good on her.

4. These pink petals on the floor. Although they were starting to rot they looked so pretty and almost like confetti.

5. Spending time with family and going for a walk with these guys. I miss them already. I love living in London but sometimes I just want to gather all the people I love and make them live near me! ha.

6. This little flower in a sea of green and brown caught my eye. What a total beauty. The pattern on the petals is just incredible. and those colours. God is the ultimate artist.

Gifts I would like to give...

I love Christmas - like seriously LOVE it. I think definitely more than most people seem to. I start planning and buying gifts way early, talking about it (and annoying my colleagues) and yeah just lots of general over excitement. Now obviously the most awesome thing about Christmas is that Jesus was born, and Jesus is as awesome as it gets, (want to know why?) but other things I love about Christmas, are decorating the tree, catching up with friends at the midnight service, eating yummy food, having my whole family in one place together, eating and drinking lots of yummy things, opening presents, and then falling asleep in front of the tv, the woodburning stove, christmas music, boxing day walks with friends and eating leftovers...seriously i love it all. But one of things that I really really enjoy (and do all year round, but this a more concentrated amount) is buying gifts. I love buying gifts for people. Anyway after all that waffle about my love of Christmas, here are some things that I would love to give people this christmas. Sadly NM has far too many cook books so probably won't be getting the Kinfolk Cook book (4) - but it looks awesome. How awesome are the monogramed soaps!! I would never want to unwrap them! and the tooth brush holders make me smile.

Anyway maybe these will spark some ideas for you and help with your gift buying...hope you all have a very festive lead up to Christmas!

1. Monogramed soap from Anthropologie 2. London iphone case - Anthropologie 3. Triangle Bracelet - Rackk and Ruin 4. The Kinfolk Cookbook 5. Tooth Brush Holders - The Art Shop 6. Wax canvased lunch bag - Kaufmann Mercantile

Give thanks

I saw this illustration by Ana Victoria Calderon the other day and I love it - it was such a good reminder to give thanks. I think sometimes I get so wrapped up in the things I want and the things that I want to do...and the people all over the place that I compare myself to that I forget to just stop - stand still for a minute and just give thanks for all the incredible blessings that I do have! Here are some of the things that I am thankful for at the moment.

1. A husband who makes me yummy food, looks after me and is pretty awesome

2. A cute house full of potential to make a lovely home

3. An incredible family who I want to hang out with all the time

4. A job with totally awesome colleagues

5. Creative friends who inspire me

6. Friends who speak truth into my life

7. That I get to live in London with so many cool things to do

8. An amazing church family who love and support me

9. Lots of creative ideas and daydreams

10. Jesus (he is obvs number 1)

so making that list has made me realise that what I am MOST thankful for are the people in my life. The other things are awesome too but the people really make life good. Thank you God for all the amazing blessings you have given me - let me never take anything for granted!

our wedding: part four

So I have decided to make this the last wedding post you will be relieved to hear - and it is the photobooth! Literally the most fun thing. It was so great going through after the wedding and seeing what people had got up to! This is just a selection for your entertainment :) so pleased with how the back drop came out too! So many silly pictures...and I seemed to be in there for a while! I am thinking I am going to do a photobooth at every party I have from now on! These photos make me smile so much! We seriously have the most incredible friends and family! Enjoy

our wedding: part three

I can't wait until tomorrow to post the next lot of pics so here we are. We later moved further into the park to the beautiful lake. We convinced some guys to let us get in one of the rowing boats and I love how these pics came out even if NM does look a bit terrified in some of them. All some really lovely detail shots. I love the one of my shoes. I am in love with those shoes - they totally made the outfit for me! anyway hope you are not all sick of these yet. Only two more lots to go and the last lot are the photobooth ones - comedy!

our wedding: part one

I am so excited to share some of our wedding shots with you all. We had such an incredible day and Jonathan and Andrew did such a great job of capturing it all. I could not recommend them enough! I am going to be doing a few posts over the next few days (sorry if you get bored!) but here are some to get you started. We were so blessed on the day to have the most incredible sunshine...for any of you have ever visited Wales you will know that is pretty rare!

So many people helped us get ready for the day and we had lots of crafty DIY projects which to be honest I still can't believe all came together on the day! This first post is pictures of the morning and the service - which was held at the Church that I grew up in!

These girls....seriously the most awesome ever! They all looked so amazing in those dresses too!

I love that we seem to have giggled our way through the whole service!

My sister sang while we were signing the register and seriously it was the only point I welled up the whole day. It was incredible. She is going to hate me for including these pics. A friend Larry also sang but sadly we don't have photographic evidence. He was incredible too!

We walked out of the church to Le Freak by Chic. So much fun!

And then welsh cakes and lemonade in the church afterwards and lots of beautiful daffodils. We seriously had the best day. Lots more posts of later in the day to come soon!

Life recently
my life recently in pics

We are back! back in the real world! Sorry for the silence on the blog for the last month. Life has been full of exciting new things and adventures. We got married (the day was perfect!) we went on honeymoon (I love Sicily) we tried to organise the house a bit with our combined stuff and now we are back at work and getting used to being Mr and Mrs. Busy times. Here is a little round up of photos from my phone of the last few weeks (notice there are a lot of food pics!). I have got so many posts that I have been dying to do about the wedding, and posts about the honeymoon so expect more regular posting from now! hopefully you won't get bored! Have been missing the blogging so am really looking forward to getting back into it! Hope you all have great weekends! x

We Love because...

We have chosen the passage that is going to be read at our wedding, and I was doing a little hand lettering for the order of service and then thought it would work well as a poster for this week. I decided to keep it simple just black and white. I really love this bible verse. It is 1 John 4:19. Don't forget how much He loves you!!

We have the longest list of wedding related things to get done...but less than 8 weeks until the wedding now! crazy.

Sometimes Love isn't Firecrackers

Last week we sent out our wedding invites. I was so nervous about them and was feeling the pressure but I am really happy with how they turned out (will post pics at some point). On the back we had this quote by Janette Oke. I really love it. I think it means a lot to me because it pretty much sums up how our relationship started. I was so unsure about NM at the beginning, in fact for a long time, but I took a risk (and he took an even bigger one!) and I am so so happy that I did. love doesn't always have to be like it tells you it should be in the films. I like the way our love grew. I hope it is going to stand us in good stead for it lasting a long long time.

Anyway I thought this quote would make a great poster for the weekly project.

My Favourite Valentines Cards

Being the organised sort of girl I am, I thought I would start investigating valentines cards (its only a month away!). I think I might make my own this order to fulfill my 'do more with less' motto and who doesn't love a handmade card...but I had a little peruse on etsy anyway to see what treats I could find. These are my favourites...and number 1 sums up my sentiments exactly. Ha. And number 8 is my ALL TIME favourite. I gave that one to NM when we were first going out. Find them here: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

The art of communication

Yesterday at marriage class we learnt about the importance of communication in relationships. So basically I am super selfish and interrupt all the time because I want to say what I have to say instead of listening to what NM has to say....and then NM always tries to give advice and fix the problem...when actually all I want is for him to listen to how I am feeling about a situation. Its pretty interesting learning how different we are and how we need different things to feel loved and happy.

So now my challenge is to be a better listener. To let NM say what he needs to say at his own pace and to be patient while he says it. Its not going to be easy! But I am determined to get better at it. This verse from James will be a good reminder. (I also wanted to play around with this new font I bought yesterday!)

We also talked about how communication doesn't always have to be verbal. I am going to write more letters this year. I still believe that getting lush post is way better than an email.

Let me introduce to my 'special' friend - Mr Mosley...all round legend...and excitingly since friday my Fiancé!!!! (brave brave man!) He pulled the most perfect proposal out of the bag. Anyway life is just a whirlwind of all sorts of things to do and people to see at the moment so apologies for my somewhat sporadic posting. The blog may be featuring a fair few wedding related posts over the next few months about things I am learning and things we are making. Check in to find out how we are getting on.
