My insta faves (part 4)

I have done a few of these posts now and I really enjoy putting them together and going through my Instagram feed, falling in love again and getting inspired by some of the people I follow. These are new people who I have followed recently and who I think all do a great job at noticing and documenting little details in life. I decided to go for a bit of a plant theme when choosing which images to share. Seriously go follow these guys. I love using Instagram to get a glimpse into the lives of people all over the world.

@me_and_orla - I discovered Sara's feed not that long ago and I am in love. A lot of thought goes into her images and I love the dark moody vibe. She is based in the north of England.

@mattscorte - Lots of beautiful architectural shots of Paris and other travel destinations. I am in awe of Matt's aesthetic and how cohesive his feed feels. That is my long term aim with Instagram. Definitely check out this feed!

@yas_in_amsterdam - I am OBSESSED with Amsterdam (even though I have only spent one day there) and so was really happy to find this beautiful feed full of corners of this beautiful city! I love seeing glimpses of other parts of the world in my feed.

@bonniemade - This Instagram feed makes me feel calm and does such a great job of capturing the quiet little moments in life. Lots of little beautiful details. Bonnie, who is based in Adelaide, Australia has such a great eye.

@smlalexander - Lots of block colours and clean lines (this image doesn't really represent most of the feed). I really love the simple and artistic nature of the images.

@josephowen - Again I love the little details that Joseph shares. A lot of thought goes into colour and composition and the result is a stunning feed. I also love seeing bits of London through other people's eyes.

@agirlnamedleney - Leney has a knack for making the little moments in life look beautiful. Images are from where she lives and travels, this is another one that totally inspires me and makes me happy.

The other day I was popping to the post office - now that is no great event, but as I was walking along a route that takes less than 5 minutes and I have taken thousands of times I was thinking about instagram and how my instagram only seems to get interesting when I go on foreign adventures. Although that might be true it got my thinking that I want to be better at spotting little moments of beauty in my every day. I am really aware of how when I am deeply entrenched in the familiar routine I forget to look and I stop seeing.

So I set myself the challenge to try and take 6 photographs on that 10 minute walk (5 mins there and back). It was actually incredible. I ended up taking more than 6 photographs and although they weren't all amazing I was really happy with them - and I felt like I really had spotted corners of beauty on a very familiar walk on a very grey day!

You can see some of my favourite ones above (and obviously I have put some on instagram too!) This is definitely something I am going to try more often, to get me looking, appreciating and finding joy in what is around me. I am going to be using the hashtag #noticingthedetails to keep track of the pictures on instagram so feel free to follow along with what I find or also add your own spots to the hashtag too!

All of the photos were taken with my iphone and edited using VSCOCAM.
