FREE Phone Wallpapers
blog_wallpapers.jpg

If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed that every Monday I have been sharing a different phone wallpaper that you can screenshot and use on the phone. I have really enjoyed it and it has really encouraged me to be more consistent with creating and trying out different styles and patterns to see what works well as a background.

Now obviously instagram stories are only available for 24 hours - which is part of the fun of it, but I am suddenly here with loads of wallpapers on my computer and it seemed a shame not to share them somewhere a bit more permanently - so people who have maybe missed them in my stories can enjoy them too.

Just click on the link under the thumbnails below to download the image and load it as your background. And if you want to see the new ones that I will be uploading on stories every Monday then come follow me on instagram

hand printed paper from Venice

When I was in Venice last year I discovered lots of incredible paper shops selling sheets of stunning hand-printed paper. It was like heaven for me. I just appreciate the craftsmanship so much.  I found one particular shop (I am sure there were many others) that had a really good selection of handprinted and also machine printed papers. I bought a selection of both. The handprinted was a lot more expensive than the machine printed understandably so I treated myself to 2 sheets of handprinted and 4 sheets of machine printed. I am such a geek I was just so excited about them.

It got me thinking that I would really love to be able to print out large sheets myself to use as wrapping paper or for other crafty projects. In the shops they sold notebooks, frames, pen pots absolutely all sorts covered in the beautiful papers.

Although I don't have a screenprinting set up I do have a few different options. I think I might try doing some designs and printing them on Kraft paper on my A3 printer, but also I really want to do some linocut wrapping paper. Last weekend I went to a great little linocutting workshop and it got me really excited to have another go after my attempts last year

Maybe next month's printable will be wrapping paper too. Even just printing out A4 sheets would work great for wrapping small gifts for friends and family. Keep an eye out!

Happy Friday all, hope you have  fun and inspiring weekend! I am off to the Etsy wedding fair with my buddy who is getting married so looking forward to checking out all the goodies!

Patterned Bunting - Free download

It seems like with the arrival of Spring there are more birthdays and little celebrations going on. I wanted to find a pretty quick and easy way to add a bit of colour and fun to our house with some non-permanent decorations. Bunting is always a fun way to do that but I wanted something that was easy to put together (rather than having to spend hours sewing - which I have done before!) so I decided to make some paper bunting.

You can make the bunting as long or short as you like just print off more sheets for a longer one. All you need to do is print off the designs (there are 2 patterned and 2 solid colour which you can arrange and alternate as you like) punch a hole in each corner, thread some string or ribbon through the holes and then voila, it 's ready to hang, either by tying or washi taping them to a wall.

I am going to use these for some birthday celebrations but in the meantime I hung a few in our bedroom to add a bit of colour and decoration to our blackboard wall. If you want to have a go too just download them HERE

I hope you are enjoying the long Easter weekend so far. It is always a great time to stop and take stock and remember what Jesus did for us. I have been taking sometime to think today about His sacrifice and what that means for my life and just thinking about how much I have been blessed with and have to be grateful for.

I will be back on Monday with a little tour of my home studio which I am excited about! Have a lovely weekend!

Moodboard Monday // Patterns

I have been thinking about patterns a lot recently. When I have a bit of spare time (Ha) I really want to try and make some of my own repeating patterns. There is just something so beautiful and satisfying about them. I started a new board on pinterest to keep them all (naturally). Here is a little moodboard of some of my favourite patterns this week. Check out the pinterest board to find them (and who created them) and also to see more - there are so many beautiful ones.

Over the weekend I actually started combining some hand drawn patterns and type so will hopefully be able to post up some of my experiments on here soon! Also sorry for the lack of posting at the moment. I am only managing these monday moodboards at the moment...but hopefully will be able to do a few more posts each week soon!

Happy Monday friends x
